Drive Simulations & Mirror Cutting

This week, we conducted further user testing in laboratory conditions to create a calmer, more realistic environment for the subjects. We arranged a room in the laboratory with a computer simulating a drive, and had the passenger next to the driver play a simple game on their phone. These experiments led us to several vial conclusions, which helped us pinpoint the object's optimal dimensions. We then cut the mirror to the appropriate size using a laser cutting machine, with help from the industrial designer. Subsequently, we created four different prototypes - each one testing a particular element: lighting, vertical displacement, horizontal displacement and the use of sound to attract attention.
